In this episode you will hear about the Nepali Community Project, led by Roshmi Rayamajhi, Sharda Parajuli and Prem Pariyar. All three of them
Have recently arrived from Nepal and they all have a background in nursing, counseling, public health and education.

Roshmi Rayamajhi, has a Master ́s degree in Public
Health from The Arctic University of Norway and is a registered nurse in Nepal. Her work is focused on reducing the stigma attached to mental health counseling, which prevents the Bay Area Nepali community from seeking help.

Prem Pariyar was born and raised as part of an underserved
and oppressed community of Nepal, the Dalit.
His experience as a victim of the centuries old cast system in Nepal informs his work with underserved populations. He holds a Bachelor degree in Education and is the founder of a Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Research Center in Nepal.
